We will meet at 7:00 PM in the lounge. Our monthly meeting is the perfect place for new members to come and meet each other as well as our other members. It is also a good opportunity to get some feedback for different things you may want to do. We have already scheduled some suggestions from past monthly meetings and I am working on some others for when the weather gets a little nicer. The goal is to keep it simple, cheap and casual. While sitting back to enjoy the show or speaking up to influence it, you'll be served three courses, including a tossed garden salad, chicken piccata with light lemon butter sauce, and velvet chocolate mousse for dessert. Though the actors are not officially allowed to eat off your plate, their desperate expressions may encourage you to toss them a scrap or two. Big hair, big shoulders, think big, big, big!!!! It's the 1980's all over again. Dress for the party or come as you are. We're going to have lots of fun with games planned as well as some serious 80's dancing! Bring a guest, couples welcomed but everyone must be over 21 please! Food available at Whites separate from event (if we have enough people, we may have some appetizer trays). The Hampton Inn is right next door for anyone who doesn't want to drive home!

Cliff Walk starts at Memorial Boulevard and runs south just about 3.5 miles and ends at Cliff Terrace and Seaview Ave. Our meeting point will be at Memorial Boulevard (by the Chandler). This would make the walk 7 miles (please let me know if we should have some people park at the other end to make the walk 3.5 miles). Parking is available at Newport's Easton's Beach (First Beach) and at parking meters on Memorial Boulevard. Cliff Terrace and Seaview are no-parking zones. The walk is paved and sneakers or comfortable shoes are recommended. There are great views of the beach, ocean, the cliff sides. Although there are a number of fences guarding the steep drops, wandering off the path isn't recommended. After the walk, there are a variety of places to meet for cocktails and appetizers. The Spiced Pear is located at the Chandler at the beginning of the walk and is a beautiful spot to sit and have a drink, etc. However, America's Cup Boulevard offers a variety of other options and we can move to another spot if the crowd agrees.
